A Letter from Jeff and Amy
Dear Birth Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We certainly cannot imagine what you must be going through while deciding what’s best for you and your baby; but, if you are reading this letter, we are grateful that we may have the opportunity to be in touch with you one day. We hope our letter answers some questions about us and helps you as you continue on your journey.
We are Jeff and Amy and we live in a small community in North Texas. We have been married since 2004, and after trying to conceive for many of those years, we feel God has led us to start our family through adoption. We know raising your baby would be a huge privilege and responsibility. We have lots of love to give a baby, but we will make sure they know you love him or her very much, as well.
We are members of a church that is filled with very loving and supportive members. Over the past few years, we have grown very close to those in our small group class through church. As a congregation, we are involved in the local and world community where we find ways to help those in need while sharing God’s word with them. We also personally sponsor a child in Haiti through a world organization. Our donation gives that child access to a better way of life including food, shelter, closthing and education. We love to send her letters and gifts, but the greatest reward is reading her letters to us.
Amy works for a large company as a human resources manager and feels fortunate to have a job during this economic time. Right next door to her company is a great childcare facility where she can be close to our baby and stop by during lunch, and there is another great facility inside our neighborshood that could also be an option. Amy has a Bachelor’s degree and is currently working on a Master’s degree in human resources/organizational dynamics. Making jewelry and decorating the house are some things Amy likes to do. She also likes to spend time with her mom and sister who live close by and who are really looking forward to being a grandma and an aunt! Amy has a big support system of friends and family ready to welcome a new baby.
Jeff has a college education and works for the federal government disability program. He is passionate about serving the public and helping people qualify for any benefits they deserve, although Jeff’s priority is to provide for his family; and, with a stable job and good income, he is able to do so confidently. He is an avid sports fan and loves football the most. He enjoys working out, which he does several times per week, and cooking. Most of Jeff’s immediate family lives in a nearby state, and we are fortunate to visit with them several times a year.
Our goal in raising a child is to teach them to love the Lord, trhemselves, and others. We want our child to have zeal and discipline in the things they are involved in. We pray that God will bring a child to us through adoption. You have chosen a great organization to help you as you make your decision. Christian Homes’ staff is a loving and caring group who puts you and your child’s needs first. That is why we have chosen them, as well. We truly care about you and your child and want the best for both of you. We look forward to meeting with you and getting to know you better. This opportunity would not be possible without you, and we are truly thankful.
God bless you,
Jeff and Amy
