A Letter from Neil and Katie

Neil and Katie

Dear Birthmother,

We are honored and humbled that you are taking the time to read about our family.  Your courage to make such a difficult, selfless, and sacrificial decision is an inspiration to us.  Our prayers is that God is granting you peace and the comfort of His grace as you make a decision about your child’s future.  We want this letter to give you an idea of who we are and hopefully answer some of your questions.

We are Neil and Katie, and we are excited about adopting a child.  We have one biological daughter who is three years old.  Our family has a lot of love to share, so we are eager for our family to grow.  We feel like God is calling us to adopt a child.  God has blessed us in so many ways, and we have a desire to share those blessings with others.  After a lot of prayer, we made the decision that adopting a child is one of the best ways we could share the blessings we’ve been given.

We have been married for over six years.  Our home is located in a subdivision out in the country and it sits on one acre on a quiet street.  We live in a relatively small town in Arkansas with a population around 30,000.

Neil is a youth minister.  He loves spending time with people, teaching the Bible, and going on trips with teenagers.  Neil’s work allows our family to travel to camps, events, and conferences throughout the year.

Katie is a full-time homemaker.  She spends a lot of time working in the children’s ministry at our church.  Katie is also very involved in Neil’s youth ministry work.  She is an artist who enjoys painting and working on home improvement projects.

We enjoy traveling.  One of the highlights of our year is traveling to Florida to visit family.  We also have fond memories of a family trip to Disney Land in California.  We enjoy quiet picnics in the living room while watching Disney movies.  Neil enjoys watching sports, playing tennis, cycling, golf, going on daddy/daughter dates, and tucking our daughter in at night.  Katie enjoys art, cooking, going to dinner with friends, spending time with family, doing craft projects, and being a stay-at-home mom.

Our goal as parents is to provide a safe, secure, and loving environment for our children while instilling in them a deep love for Jesus.  We are very committed to our church family because we believe it is extremely important for our children to have a community of loving people involved in their lives.

Feel free to call if you would like to learn more about our family.  We would love to learn more about you.  God bless you!

Neil and Katie
